Spring showers at Chenies Manor House wedding

Sarah and Adam's wedding took place at the stunning Chenies Manor House in Rickmansworth, a venue renowned for its historical charm and picturesque gardens. Nestled in the Chiltern Hills, Chenies Manor House is a Grade I listed building, showcasing an exquisite blend of Tudor architecture and timeless elegance. The manor's beautifully manicured gardens, complete with vibrant flower beds, ancient yew topiary, and a serene lily pond, provide a breathtaking backdrop for any event.

Sarah and Adam chose the perfect time of year to take full advantage of the vibrant blooms, despite the risk of damp weather. And indeed, it rained! Photographing an outdoor ceremony in the rain was a first for me. The weather was uncertain leading up to the ceremony, but Sarah and Adam decided to proceed with their outdoor plans—a decision I wholeheartedly support. The umbrellas were out, and everyone did their best to stay dry. The rain added a unique and memorable touch to the occasion, and Sarah and Adam embraced it, making the day even more fun and special.

Throughout the day, we made the most of Chenies Manor House's indoor and outdoor spaces. The Great Hall, with its oak-paneled walls and grand fireplace, offered a warm and inviting atmosphere for indoor shots, while the gardens, even in the rain, provided stunning scenery that highlighted the couple's joy and love.

It was truly an amazing day, and I look forward to visiting Chenies Manor House again in the future to capture more beautiful moments.

Below are some of my favorite photographs from Sarah and Adam's wedding day.
