Summer wedding at Isis Farmhouse Oxford
Bridal Preparations in Iffley
The day began in Iffley, where Chloe and her bridesmaids gathered for the bridal preparations. The atmosphere was lively as makeup artists and hair stylists got to work. After spending a couple of hours photographing the preparations it was off to the wedding ceremony.
Oxford Town Hall Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place at the historic Oxford Town Hall, known for its high ceilings, intricate woodwork, and stained-glass windows. Guests filled the Assembly hall, eagerly anticipating the ceremony. Chloe walked down the aisle with her father to meet Ben, creating a memorable moment. Chloe and Ben exchanged vows and rings with readings from family members, sealing their commitment with a kiss as friends and family celebrated.
The Boat Trip
After the ceremony myself Chloe and Ben took a private moment to capture a few portraits around the Town Hall whilst the wedding party moved to Folly Bridge for a boat trip to the reception venue. The boats provided a scenic and relaxing journey along the River Thames. Guests enjoyed drinks and light refreshments while taking in the views of Oxford riverside. The boat trip was a great opportunity for candid photos and mingling too.
Reception at the Isis Farmhouse
Arriving at the Isis Farmhouse, located on the banks of the Thames. This venue offered a rustic charm with its gardens and riverside views. Guests were greeted with a well-arranged reception area, including a marquee, fairy lights, and elegantly decorated tables.
The reception started with a handful of family photographs followed by a dinner and speeches. The speeches were both touching and humorous, celebrating the couple’s journey. As the evening progressed, the dance floor became the focal point, with a live band playing a mix of classic and modern tunes.
Chloe and Ben’s wedding was a well-planned and executed event, blending tradition and celebration. From the bridal preparations in Iffley to the ceremony at Oxford Town Hall, the boat trip, and the reception at the Isis Farmhouse, every detail contributed to a day filled with love, laughter, and memorable moments.
